CHINESE EXPORT SILVER DRAGON BOX c1890 WANG HING – 15 OUNCES A very fine late 19th century Chinese export silver footed dragon box. The shaped rectangular form on tapering notched bamboo foot form is quite unique and pleasing to the eye. This fine c1890 Chinese export silver dragon box is a bit under 5 1/2 inches across. And weighs 15 1/2 standard ounces. The box is solid silver, coin purity or higher. It is NOT wood lined. In very fine condition. Rich silver patina throughout. Antique Chinese Export Silver Box Humidor Wang Hing Dragons Bamboo (5572)

Antique box / cigar box. Made by Wang Hing (retailer) Canton and Hong Kong late 19th – early 20th century. Measurements: 4 1/4 inches (10.75cm) long; 3 inches (7.5cm) wide. Rectangular box that was most likely used as a cigar or cigarette box. Currently, no wood lining. The entire upper surface and 4 sides are richly decorated with raised scenes of dragons amidst scrolling clouds and bamboo in rocky landscapes. The decoration is rich and typical of Wang Hing, who we believe was the biggest retailer of Chinese silver from the last quarter of the 19th century. Marks: the bottom of the box is marked 90 and WH. Condition: generally good with minor wear commensurate with age. Very close inspection shows a tiny ding on the upper left corner – mentioned for the sake of total accuracy. Standing elephant jade feet. The Chinese export silver box in gently curved corner. Rectangular form, with hand carved monarch butterfly. Set amidst royal chrysanthemum in exceptionally high relief. Above the stippled background. The Wang Hing silver & jade dresser box is 6 1/4 by 3 5/8 inches. And weighs just under 18 standard ounces less jade and interior wood sides. In very fine condition. Chinese Export Silver Lidded Container Wang Hing 193g. A splendid late 19. Century Chinese export silver lidded, circular container or box by Wang Hing. With beautifully detailed repousse dragons to lid and sides, the box retains its gilded interior. It is stamped WH 90 on the base, together with a Chinese character mark. It is in good condition but there are three small dents at the edge of the lid that do not detract from the beauty of this object. Height 6cm, diameter 9cm. International, so please contact me.
