18thC Chinese finely h. Carved Zitan silver wired wood covered lid box & base
18thC Chinese finely hand carved Xitan silver wired inlay stylized cross. Wood covered box and stand base. Dark Chinese Zitan wood 3.5 ” x 4.5″ lid size. It is smooth to the touch. Corners are rounded off from over hundreds of years touch. Lid is bevelef anf hand carvef. Fits perfectly into the box. Box is 3.5″ x 4.5″ and 1 deep. Base is 5.5″ x 5″. The base on the box has wear marks rhay match the tray stand, making it a true authentic match. One minor chip that can be restored. Some of the wire, very small section missing. Lovely 19thC Chinese Export Silver Etui Needle Case. Intricate silver scrollwork with dainty enamel flowers and leaves spiralled around the case. Remnants of gilt to the silver sleeve. Appx 10.5cm long. A few small areas of enamel loss. There is some damage to the internal silver lining as shown. Overall condition for age is good.
