This fine antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) box has a cylindrical form. The surface of the body is embellished with a fine and impressive embossed decorated iconic Chinese dragon design. This antique Chinese silver box is fitted with the original push fit cover ornamented with a further dragon design encircling a central vacant circular cartouche. This antique box retains the original gilded interior. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine box include. Makers mark:WH (Wang Hing). Silver quality/purity mark: 90 (90 standard, 900/1000). This Chinese box is a exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The embossed decoration is very sharp. There are some natural fire marks to the surface of the box, in keeping with age. The hallmarks struck to the surface of the underside of the box are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware. This sale is for an extremely Rare Antique Kwan Wo Chinese Export Silver Throne Salt Box measuring approx 8 cm by 6.5 cm and weighs approx 95 grams. The Box is in the form of a Throne with an all-over Hand Engraved Pattern and pierced edging with lift up seat to a gilded interior (some ware) and is fully marked to the base for Kwan Wo Canton / Hong Kong C 1880 – 1920. FINE 1890’s CHINESE EXPORT “LUEN WO” STERLING SILVER FLORAL REPOUSSE CIGAR BOX. Beautiful hand textured and Repousse silver body with large embossed Flowers On the on lid And Sides. Wood lined cedar interior. Marked “Luen Wo” on The Base Of the box. The hinge is tight and the box opens and closes correctly. The entire box is in excellent condition with no noted damage and only shows minor wear from normal use. Measures 2 1/2″ high, 6 1/8″ long and 4 1/8 deep. Weighs 525.3 grams on my scale.
