Antique Chinese Export Silver Box by Wang Hing, Hong Kong, 1890s. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese Export silver dragon box; an addition to our collection of boxes and cases. This fine antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) box has a cylindrical form. The surface of the body is embellished with a fine and impressive embossed decorated iconic Chinese dragon design. This antique Chinese silver box is fitted with the original push fit cover ornamented with a further dragon design encircling a central vacant circular cartouche. This antique box retains the original gilded interior. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine box include. Maker’s mark :WH (Wang Hing). Silver quality/purity mark: 90 (90 standard, 900/1000). This Chinese box is a exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The embossed decoration is very sharp. The hallmarks struck to the surface of the underside of the box are all very clear. This box or chest was probably originally intended for silver or jewelry and has a lid that opens and two drawers all lined nicely with velvet. The box is probably mid 20th century. Condition: The box appears to be missing it’s original feet and a small wooden panel across the bottom of the front is missing. Height 6 Inches 15.4 cm. Width 14 1/4 Inches 36.0 cm. Chinese Export Silver Vanity Set Kwong Man Shing Hong Kong C1900 In Box

A nice Chinese export silver vanity set in original wooden box, made by Kwong Man Shing from Hong Kong c. The set consists of a hand mirror, a hair brush, a clothes brush, a comb holder (original comb missing but can be easily replaced) a round lidded box and a hinged rectangular box. The set originally had a lace hook as well, but that unfortunatelly is missing. The set has a decor of chrysantheums and birds. The mirror measures 27,5 cm in length and weighs 590 gr. The hairbrush measures 22,5 cm in length and weighs 199 gr. The clothing brush measures 17,5 cm in length and weighs 141 gr. The comb holder measures 22 cm in length and weighs 23 gr. The round box measures 9 cm in diameter and 6.5 cm in height and weighs 180 gr. The rectangular box measures 12 by 4 by 5 cm and weighs 140 gr. Marked KMS and with Chinese character mark. The wooden box measures 39 by 35 cm. The pieces show a little wear consistent with age and a few very minor dents. Also the gilding in the round box is quite rubbed. Otherwise it is in good condition.
