A beautiful rare solid silver China Straits table box. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1900. It has been beautifully hand made being in the form of a chest, it has been embossed and chased with scrolls, flowers and a bird to the lid. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. 3.25 inches (8.5cm) across by 2.25 inches (5.7cm) wide by 2 inches (5.1cm) tall and weighs 204 grams.
