ANTIQUE LARGE CHINESE PAKTONG ENGRAVED FOOD BOX. A rare late 19th-century Chinese antique Paktong food warmer/box. Circular form with a high domed lid. The body decorated with four panels of different animal and nature scenes – a pair of Kylin, two panels with Fenghuang birds (phoenix), and one panel with vases amogst Chinese scrolls and an incense burner. All set against a finely engraved and flat chased matte background. It is free of any personal engravings or monograms. The dark patches on the first three images are reflection and not dents or marks. Good size and quite heavy. A beautiful example of genuine circa 100-120 year old antique Chinese Paktong. Diameter 18.5cm (7 1/4). Height 24cm (9 1/2) approx. CONDITION : Some dents and age related wear. The knop is tilted slightly but there is no movement and it is attached tightly to the lid. This is a beautiful Chinese Gilt Sterling Silver Hippo box with stunning enamel work. The enamel is very good quality there are blue and purple colors with yellow and black eyes. The hippo is finely sculptured and has a minature hipp on the lid of the box. The enamel is in excellent condition with no issues. This is a large Hippo measuring 8″ long by 4 1/4″ high. Large Antique Carved Chinese Export Calling Card Case Dragons Birds Original Box

This is a large antique Chinese Export carved calling card case in it’s original glass fronted box with inscriptions on the bottom and top. One side is carved with dragons and the other side is carved with birds in bamboo and flowers. It measures 4 1/2 x 3 inches. There is some repaired damage to the one side of the slip on top. They had no children and Mrs. McCray was a collector of American furniture, fans, calling card cases, and Chinese export items. Most of her collecting was done from the 1930s through the 1950s. The fans and card cases were left to her niece and they have been in storage since then. The range is wonderful with European, American, and Chinese examples with no two alike. There are approximately 55 fans and 85 card cases, so it will take some time to sell them all. I will be listing then over the next few months, so please bookmark me. This is an large antique carved Chinese Export calling card case. It is decorated on the front, back, and sides, with carvings of people, buildings, and flowers. The front has an oval panel in the center of a scholar or official seated at a table surrounded by eight others, two of them supporting a letter “K”. The sides are serpentine. LARGE 19TH CENTURY CHINESE EXPORT SILVER BOX AND COVER BY WANG HING

The box is beautifully decorated in high relief with a dragon to the body and another to the lid with a vacant circular cartouche. The box is in fantastic condition with good clear hallmarks to the base and a gilt interior. The box measures 3 inches diameter, stands 3 inches tall and weighs 172.9 grams. All items are as described, most of the items I sell are antique and I try to mention any imperfections.
