1930’s Chinese Paktong Octagon Shaped Sweetmeat Box with Silver (tested silver with silver test kit) Pomegranate Finial Marked. It is 5.1 inches (13 cm) tall by 11 inches (28 cm) wide. It is 5.3 Lb. It has surface wears and scratches, stains, lose finial, cut marks at the edges, and tarnished metal (as seen in the photos). Antique Georgian Chinese Emperor Daoguang Era Silver Novelty Book Snuff Box With Naturalistic Decoration. Circa 1830 Dynasty: Qing / Manchu / Ch’ing. For sale we have. Very Good Condition: The engraved naturalistic decoration is heavily worn away & barley visible is areas. The engraved decorations are not the same but slightly different. There are areas of tarnishing especially in the nooks & crannies. There are no dents or noticeable damage other than the heavy wear & some bent corners. The hinge is fully intact, strong & fully operational. The hinge is reinforced with a 2mm thick bar that goes from side to side. The inner compartment is heavily tarnished & uncleaned like the rest of the box. The lid is also reinforced with a bar that runs from the bottom corner to the top then the opposite top to bottom. The bar has come away from the bottom right corner & at some stage been crudely soldered which evidently hasn’t worked. But it is still very much attached to the rest of the bar & could be easily restored. The hallmark is located in the centre of the inner lid. I’m unfamiliar with foreign silver hallmarks but it has a very clear character then M. Boxes in photos are NOT included. Height: 1.3cm – 3.7cm. 6 Vintage Chinese Enamel Silver Charms w/ Ladybug Box Charm On Ring. All 6 charms are on a ring. There’s a beetle, goldfish, duck, rooster, and penguin. Last but not least, a sweet ladybug charm that is hinged and opens on back to reveal a tiny compartment. It is marked Silver on back. I believe the additional charms may also be gilt Silver but I have not tested them. They all appear to have some age. Overall in very nice condition with patina and wear commensurate with age. They measure approximately 1/2″-3/4″.
