Large Chinese Porcelain Shard Jewelry Trinket Silver Tone Box with Bird 9 Inches

This exquisite box is a rare find for collectors of Chinese culture and art. It is a handmade porcelain shard jewelry trinket box, adorned with blue and white porcelain. There is a bird at one end. The silver colored box is crafted around the piece of porcelain, with a hammered design. Measuring 9 inches in length, 2 3/4 inches in height, and 4 3/4 inches in width, this box is a beautiful addition to any collection. Its provenance is unfortunately unknown, but its craftsmanship is undeniable. The silver tone finish adds to its elegance and makes it a perfect display piece. This Chinese box is a must-have for lovers of Asian art and culture. During the Chinese cultural revolution, keeping antique porcelain at home was illegal. Many broke their pieces and threw them away. After the revolution, some of the pieces were collected and shard boxes were made. Antique circa 30s-40s, genuine amber necklace, strung on a silk string, the clasp points out to antique Chinese Export era, signed Silver, the olive shaped beads vary slightly in tinge, the tone is mostly dark cognac with some crazing “crackle” structure, as expected due to age, absolutely gorgeous and rare! Condition: pre-owned antique condition, some wear/aging signs, as seen in the photos, the clasp holds securely, from a non-smoking environment. Measurements: 45 cm long. Rare VTG Asian Chinese Tea, Tobacco, Spice Box Dragons Cranes Vines Silver Tone

Really Neat Asian Tea Caddy, Tobacco or Spice Box with Great Graphics & Display Pop! Just Grabs the Eyes! Features High Relief Dragons, Cranes, Flowers & More. Approx: 7.25″ H x 4″ Wide at Base, 2.2 lbs. Striking vintage to antique Asian (likely Chinese), tin (or other metal alloy) box that could be for tea, tobacco, spices or other perhaps. We loved the high relief bold characters of dragons, cranes, birds, vines & flowers. It has a well fitted tray on top as shown in pictures. It has some wear to the silver toned finish and there is some staining inside to surfaces. Not sure if this was a heavy paint or possible plating, but the patina and wear do not overly impact its appeal. Not sure on exact age of the piece. We think it is post 1910’s but beyond that its hard to tell for sure, but has a 1930’s feel. We searched through thousands of images, listings and other and never found a container just like this, but we assume there are some out there.
