Really Neat Asian Tea Caddy, Tobacco or Spice Box with Great Graphics & Display Pop! Just Grabs the Eyes! Features High Relief Dragons, Cranes, Flowers & More. Approx: 7.25″ H x 4″ Wide at Base, 2.2 lbs. Striking vintage to antique Asian (likely Chinese), tin (or other metal alloy) box that could be for tea, tobacco, spices or other perhaps. We loved the high relief bold characters of dragons, cranes, birds, vines & flowers. It has a well fitted tray on top as shown in pictures. It has some wear to the silver toned finish and there is some staining inside to surfaces. Not sure if this was a heavy paint or possible plating, but the patina and wear do not overly impact its appeal. Not sure on exact age of the piece. We think it is post 1910’s but beyond that its hard to tell for sure, but has a 1930’s feel. We searched through thousands of images, listings and other and never found a container just like this, but we assume there are some out there.
