FINE QUALITY CHINESE HALLMARKED SILVER TRINKET / RING BOX. With SUPERB REPOUSSE DRAGONS. This is a stunning. Quality Chinese silver trinket / ring box which dates, I’d guess, from the late 19th. To the early 20th. Century and was made by, again a guess, Wang Hing I can’t quite make out the mark. See photographs and details. It is depicted with superb repousse decoration to all sides of an intricately hand embossed. It is gilded to its interior and is marked to the inner right-hand collar with the maker’s stamp – again see photographs and details. It measures 4 3/4 (12cm) L. X 1 1/2″ (4cm) W x 1 1/4″ (3.25cm) H approx; and is in excellent condition with no defect at all to report, apart from very light wear consistent with its age. This is a beautiful superior quality period silver box that’s in superb condition and with a low start price should get considerable interest. THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS SALE. Almost everything I sell is in the condition I have bought it, unless otherwise stated, (I have learnt to my cost in the past not to tamper with an item), and therefore I have neither had items repaired nor restored. I will endeavour to report on an item which has had either; however I take no responsibility if an item has been tampered with and I cannot detect it. Please don’t waste your time asking for a b. A beautiful rare solid silver China Straits table box. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1900. It has been beautifully hand made being in the form of a chest, it has been embossed and chased with scrolls, flowers and a bird to the lid. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. 3.25 inches (8.5cm) across by 2.25 inches (5.7cm) wide by 2 inches (5.1cm) tall and weighs 204 grams. This is a Beautiful Rare 19th Century Chinese Carved Ciruclar Gaming Box (signed) with 9 Mother of Pearl Gaming Counters , this Rare Box was Crafted circa 1860 making this wonderful Box over 160 years old, this stunning box has been carved with do much detailing from the amazing figures to the top, one gentleman is standing as though in conversation with the other gentleman who is sitting down, you will also see so much detailing from the foliage, blossom tree to the wonderful pagoda, the top has a slight dome shape which is created with the intricate carving, to the side on the screw off top it also has a delicate dotted decoration, the body of this wonderful gaming box had the most beautiful rural village scene with carved tree, houses and foliage, to the base you will also see a very pretty carved flower, this gaming box is signed to the inside in 2 places, the gaming tokens 9 in total have a delicate engraved design to both sides, the quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this stunning Victorian Gaming Box would have once belonged to a wealthy Gentleman in the 19th Century and used often in a time many years ago when things where so very different.
