Offered for your consideration is a signed pair of Chinese export small vessels. They are possibly salt and pepper shakers or meant for opium or snuff. The tops are removable. They consist of a lid and an interior screen. They date to the late 19th or early 20th century. The vessels are in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with one top wire detached at one side. Otherwise, there is light edge wear, fine and light indentations and bends here and there, fine and light surface scratches and scuffing here and there, and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Lovely 19thC Chinese Export Silver Etui Needle Case. Intricate silver scrollwork with dainty enamel flowers and leaves spiralled around the case. Remnants of gilt to the silver sleeve. Appx 10.5cm long. A few small areas of enamel loss. There is some damage to the internal silver lining as shown. Overall condition for age is good. Gorgeous Early Chinese Export Sterling Coral & Turquoise Bracelet

GORGEOUS EARLY CHINESE EXPORT STERLING CORAL & TURQUOISE BRACELET. Up for sale is a stunning vintage bracelet made in China for export in the first half of the 20th century. It is 6 3/4″ long without the end tab closure, and is 1 3/4″ wide at the front panel. It is intricately hand crafted from filigree sterling silver with a gold vermeil finish and each panel has natural undyed “red” coral and Chinese turquoise. The bracelet has some surface tarnish and the stones have natural inclusions and irregurities. It is marked “silver” on the tab closure and it is in good condition. It weighs 46 grams. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese Export silver box; an addition to our collection of boxes and cases. This exceptional antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) cigarette box has a plain rectangular form. The surface of the body is encompassed with an applied, large undulating oriental Chinese dragon design, all in high relief. This antique silver box is fitted with a silver and cedar wood lined hinged cover. The upper plateau of the cover is ornamented with a further large coiling dragon design accented with impressive emanating whiskers, incorporating a circular vacant cartouche to the centre. The surface of the box and cover has a textured finish, with plain borders to each side. The body of this fine Chinese silver box retains the original cedar wood lining; by virtue of its size this versatile box could be used for a multitude of functions. The box features a solid silver base which is plain and unembellished, apart from the feature hallmarks; a solid silver base is a sign of quality. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine box include. Silver quality/purity mark: 85 (85 standard, 850/1000). Maker’s mark: (DA XIN GONG SI; The Sun Company Department Store Company). Workshop mark: (JIN JI, Shanghai). Such fine examples with three-dimensional whiskers and sharp applied decoration are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. 1920-30s Hong Kong Wai Kee Chinese Export Sterling Silver Trinket/Stud Box 110g. This is a lovely piece of Chinese Export silver that we date to around the early art deco era of the 1920s through 1930. It is well marked as sterling silver and “Made in Hong Kong”. It has a makers scripted logo of “Wai Kee” that we can’t trace. It is a small rectangular box designed to hold small precious items such as a lady’s wedding ring set or cufflinks and shirt studs for her husband. It has hand stippled surfaces with its top having a lovely, engraved depiction of a spider chrysanthemum. The interior is lined with soft dark blue material; there is a cut away rectangular void to the underside that shows its lining from below. It is very good antique condition, no damage or faults to report, some light wear commensurate with age and a warm patina. Please refer to photos as they form part of the condition description.
