This fine antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) box has a cylindrical form. The surface of the body is embellished with a fine and impressive embossed decorated iconic Chinese dragon design. This antique Chinese silver box is fitted with the original push fit cover ornamented with a further dragon design encircling a central vacant circular cartouche. This antique box retains the original gilded interior. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine box include. Makers mark:WH (Wang Hing). Silver quality/purity mark: 90 (90 standard, 900/1000). This Chinese box is a exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The embossed decoration is very sharp. There are some natural fire marks to the surface of the box, in keeping with age. The hallmarks struck to the surface of the underside of the box are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
