The rare and unique Chinese heavily made silver cigarette pack box was made to slip into the pocket of a GI in China during WWII or shortly thereafter. It is engraved on one side with a GI riding in a rickshaw and the initials DMS and on the other side with a detailed dragon chasing the pearl of wisdom. It is signed on the base in Chinese characters and the words CHINA SILVER. It is 3″ tall x 2 1/8″ wide x 1 thick. It weighs a total of 99.8 grams. There are some intentional tiny crimps to the interior corners of the flange on the bottom piece to facilitate the top sliding on properly. And a few very minor dents in the base.
