Truly unique Antique Tibetan Chatelaine opium tool Set on a mystery Locket. This is a very old sterling silver opium Den chatelaine decorated tool set suspended from a mystery locket box. The box is covered on all sides with Tibetan Deity Decor`. This small box features a peephole on one side revealing a hollow center. What makes this find more interesting is that there is something metallic unknown inside this box. The box has not been solved in terms of how to open or if in fact there is a way to open it. It is possible that the metallic piece inside is on a spring and somehow acts as a release but how it works is thus far unknown. Some suggest that it is a small buddha or statue inside. Two sides of the box are plated with brass metalwork depicting a cow and a Buddha statue on the reverse. Enamel paint depicts a lotus flower on either end and a dragon or other creature mounts the top and is painted with enamel. Three silver chains hang and chatelaine tools are a long sword a broadsword and a tweezer pincher device. All three tools are also adorned with enamel, the enamel is worn in some places however overall is in good condition for its age. This treasure has been lightly polished to remove tarnish concealing the enamel. There is a singular chain atop the box 5 inches long allowing this to be hung vertically. Any input on this fabulous mysterious Device is appreciated. Overall length is 14 inches. Box measures 5/8th width in all directions and 1 inch tall. 1 1/2 tall including the creature. All parts of this have been Acid tested as sterling silver except for some parts of the box which are brass or unknown metal. Exceptional Chinese Export Silver Filigree Dragons Card Case w Original Box

Exceptional Chinese Export Silver Filigree Dragons Card Case w Original Box. Presented is a superb quality antique Chinese export silver card case. The case is made in a fantastically detailed filigree design, with applied filigree decoration in the form of two dragons circling a silver pearl, surrounded by stylized clouds. The back of the case is also decorated in the center panel, but this design is not raised and figural as on the front, but rather a delicate floral design against the finest mesh-like filigree background imaginable. The case is designed to look like an old style leather-bound book, though it doesn’t open like a book. The lid is at the top and opens by means of a little round button on the side. The card case comes with its original glass-faced storage box, indicating that even in its heyday this piece was considered a work of art worthy of display. The case sits securely in a rectangular recess, lined with blue fabric. The underside of the exterior box has a signature or other mark in Chinese characters, as well as another longer set of markings. The case is in great condition. The spring mechanism of the lid is in good working order and responds to the button press very well. There is a very minor compression to the filigree on the back side, at the upper lefthand corner, with a very tiny split, very hard to notice. This is visible in the ninth photo, though keep in mind the pictures show the piece greatly magnified. The filigree is all intact with no losses. The case could easily be cleaned and polished up, but given its age and rarity we have left the original patina intact with only light cleaning. The exterior case has some wear to the edges, as you’d expect, but the glass is quite clean and has no chips or cracks. Someone has put clear tape around the exterior box to keep the decoration more intact. The case measures about 3 ¼ by 2 1/8 by 3/8 of an inch. The storage box measures about 4 1/8 by 3 by 1 inch. Vintage Chinese Silver Gold plated Vermeil Filigree Horse Statue withstand, box

This warrior horse stands approximately 6 tall, the length is 5, the width is 1 ½ and it weights approximately 129 grams or 4.6 ounces for both the horse itself and the stand.
