Antique Chinese Mother of Pearl and Silver Snuff Box. Circa 1800 Georgian, Qing Canton style from research of like boxes. Beautiful, detailed, exquisitely made rectangular snuff box with angled corners. Top piece of mother of pearl is monogrammed with what appears to be an S. Fair to good overall used, antique condition. Lid has a small surface hairline crack that may be seen in photo, but it does not go through the piece. It may be seen at the 7 o’clock position on the center circle going toward the upper right. Again, this is surface only and it does not permeate the lid. This is truly a gem. Edges are silver – tarnished patina. Carefully crafted with tiny pieces of metal silver? Measures 2 5/8″ x 1 5/8″ x 7/8.
