For sale here is a HUGE and IMPORTANT vintage 1930s 40s Chinese export silver hand repoussage cuff bracelet in the original fitted box. Gorgeous design of guardian deities Fou dogs/lions, wheels (buddhist symbol) and cut-thru floral foliate design section at bottom, all in gilt silver and plain silver for a two-tone look. Measures 4-1/8″ wide at widest, fits 7-1/2″ wrist nicely, and weighs a hefty 109.1 grams total. Marked inside as shown, “Made in China Silver”. Please read my terms and’fine print’ below. Antique Coin Silver Chinese Export Calling Card Case Chatelaine Orig Fitted Box. This is an exceptional piece weighing roughly double what most cases such as this typically weigh, this one is 103.3 grams. The craftsmanship is very nice with intricate, raised detailing on a gold vermeil textured background, it is double sided, same design on each side, it is crafted in very thick silver, there are no markings, but it tests for at least coin silver, guaranteed. The condition is very good to excellent, no dents or dings, it has surface scratches commensurate with polishing and gentle use, it would appear it has spent most of its days in the custom made leather bound wooden box with silk lining, the box has some minor condition issues see pics. , but is structurally sound, it has an unusual closure with locking mechanism which is firm and securely closes. You open it with a thumb nail. The box measures 5″ x 3.75″ x 1 5/8 deep. The calling card case measures 2.25″ x 3.5″ (with lid closed) x 8mm wide, the drop is 3 7/8 (top of loop to top of case). RARE CHINESE EXPORT SILVER JEWELRY BOX ORIG. STAND REPOUSSE DECOR + KEY SND 1860. Wonderful, antique Chinese export solid silver jewelry box on stand – circa 1860. The rectangular box with a hinged lid resting on the original silver stand with chased feet. The entire surface of the box and lid are decorated in hand-chased repousse technique creating pastoral scenes of villages, lakes, boats, pagodas, trees and human figures – work quality is superb, highly detailed and very attractive. The box is padded inside with wood showing beautiful grain. It is hallmarked, on the bottom with Chinese characters and a maker’s mark – box comes with the ORIGINAL key that works and the lock works well. Excellent condition for the age with no losses or restorations – 2 very small indentations at 2 of the top corners – we have taken many pictures so please examine all.
