Century Chinese Silver Smoke Set has been protected by the original 8 14″ by 13″ by 2 ¾ tall paper carved wood case. The case is also in very good condition with only some light wear to the edges. Inside is lined in silk. At the bottom is a 6 ½” by 11 ¼” dark teakwood tray, trimmed in sterling. This Tray holds a silk covered insert which holds the 3 ¼” by 4″ by 1 ¼” tall Cigarette Box, the 2 ½” by 3 ½” by 1 ¼” tall Ash Tray Box and the 1 ½” by 2 ¼” by 1 ¾ tall Match Box Case in place. In our close up photographs you can see that the silver is hand engraved and retains the hammer marks of the Silversmith. There are maker’s hallmarks on each piece which we have no researched. This circa 1920s Chinese Sterling Silver Smoke Set is listed without any reserve.
