Exceptional Wang Hing Chinese Export Sterling Silver Bamboo Teapot

Fantastic Wang Hing Chinese Export Silver teapot, stand and burner. This beautiful teapot and stand stands 8 1/2 tall. The teapot alone with handle stands approximately 6 1/4 tall, it measures 6 from spout to handle. Total weight is 1.2 pounds. For those of you who are familiar with Wang Hing you are privy to the fact that this is a stunning, larger piece. A little bit of research and I found that the studio of Wang Hing quite literally was the inspiration for quite a few of Tiffanys most sought after Asiatic patterns. Further research indicates that Tiffany carried quite a few designs of Wang Hing & Co. Silver work separate and aside from their collaboration. Overall this piece is in beautiful condition. Very fine if any superficial marks from age I note one PennDOT indentation and 1/ 3rd inch very fine marks. Please enlarge picture 7, below the initial R-please see photos. Very nice intertwined monogram of RC on one side with incised bamboo leaf where the teapot has little arms that holds it in the stand on both sides. I have not polished this gorgeous teapot. Fantastic Wang Hing Chinese Export Silver document box. This incredible box rests on for dragon heads with open mouths, fangs bared. Incredibly intricate dragons adorn the entire body of this box. It measures 11 across, stands 4 tall and is approximately 4 1/2 deep. The interior is 2 1/4 deep x 10 1/2. Weight is 2.4 pounds. For those of you who are familiar with Wang Hing you are privy to the fact that this is a stunning, larger piece. A little bit of research and I found that the studio of Wang Hing quite literally was the inspiration for quite a few of Tiffanys most sought after Asiatic patterns. I note and have circled for your perusal the front left-hand corner where some of the silver fine work has been pushed inward. Chinese Export Silver and Enamel Box / Canister – Antique Circa 1900. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese Export silver and enamel box / canister; an addition to our oriental silver boxes collection. This exceptional antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) canister / box has a hexafoil shaped form. The surface of this double skinned antique Chinese box is embellished with overlaid filigree mesh panels with plain solid silver borders to each incurve, in addition to the upper and lower rims. Each panel is ornamented with an applied oriental plum blossom branch accented with floral and bird designs, all accented with enamel details. The ornamentation to the body incorporates an array of alternating collet set agate and coral gemstones. This Chinese silver box retains the original push fit gem set, bulbous cover embellished with further filigree and enamel work identical to that of the body. The Chinese silver and enamel box cover is surmounted with an exceptional filigree ball style finial accented with a coral gemstone to the upper portion and featuring a flared lobed, filigree terminal. The cover opens to reveal the cylindrical chamber of the canister/box. The underside of the box is plain and unembellished apart from the hallmark’SILVER’. This antique Chinese silver and enamel box is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The applied and filigree decoration is all very sharp. Vintage Antique Chinese Export Silver Orange Jade Carnelian Stone Earrings & Box

They are hand made from silver of unknown/unmarked grade. Feature three stacked east west set orange cabochon gemstones or jewels. They could be carnelian, orange jade, fire opal, spessartite garnet or similar – I don’t have any way to tell for certain – they are mostly transparent – kind of have a honey type transparency. They have a fantastic internal glow to them. Very fine gauged applied designs include twisted rope borders and Etruscan style balls. Entire earrings have a rich antique colored gold gilt, plating, or wash. Clip on paddle backs so most anyone should be able to wear these – pierced ears or not. Comes in the original box that is topped with a classic oriental or asian pattern – feels like it could be silk on the outside and has the look of grosgrain satin on the off white inside. It has some old hand written numbers on the bottom. Minor wear and discoloration – but a rare find that it has remained with these earrings all of these years in any condition. Ready and waiting for your ears, collection, or gift giving – you will love these! MEASUREMENTS : Earrings are each aprox 13/16″ long x 7/16″ wide (width is including the little ball decorations protruding) – orange cabochons are about 7 x 5 mm each. MARKS : SILVER stamped on the insides of the clip back hardware. WEIGHT : Earrings together weigh 8.7 grams on my scale – not including the box. CONDITION : Great vintage condition – no quirks or damage to mention concerning the earrings at all. The stones are all intact and completely free from chips, crazing, wear, cracks, nicks, etc. And clip backs in good working order.
