Chinese Export Silver Card Case – Antique Circa 1890. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese Export Silver card case; part of our diverse Asian silverware collection. This exceptional antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) card case has a rectangular shaped form. The anterior surface of this Wang Hing card case is ornamented with an impressive chased decorated iconic Chinese dragon design accented with stylised cloud decoration, all on a matte background. The ornamentation incorporates a vacant shield shaped cartouche. The posterior surface of this antique card case is embellished with impressive bamboo stalk designs, also all on a matte background. The sides of this antique silver case are ornamented with a simplified stemmed floral design. This Chinese card case is fitted with a push fit cover ornamented with a continuation of the aforementioned chased decoration. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine silver case include. Presented is an exceptionaly rare Chinese Export solid silver CASKET/BOX made in China c. This wonderful casket has heavily chased, SUNFLOWERS, A BUTTERFLY, BIRDS, BAMBOO, PLUM BLOSSOM and 2 LARGE DRAGONS. The underside has a super rare engraved scene of the FORBIDDEN CITY HUE (9-8-47). This is the year the Vietnamese fought with the French and many buildings were burnt down. The centre has a gold JB monogram. MEASUREMENTS : Well over 6.5 inches (over 17cm) long. 4.5 inches (11.5cm) wide/deep. 3.5 inches (9cm) high. WEIGHT : 551 grams/ 17.7 troy ounces. CONDITION : FINE CRISP CONDITION. This is a very rare late 19th-century c. 1890 Chinese Export solid silver antique vesta case by Wang Hing. Beautifully decorated with repousse and chased Chinese figures in a garden, quintessential Chinese white pine in the background. The other side decorated with plum blossoms. The decorations are crisp & detailed. The sprung-hinge is in excellent condition. The lid flicks open strongly when the push button is pressed, it shuts with a nice snap sound. The vesta case is free from monograms. Wang Hing WH chopmark stamped on the underside of the lid. “90” for 900 silver standard. DIMENSION : 4.5cm x 3.2cm (1 3/4″ x 1 1/4″) approx. VTG Chinese Export Carved Melon Tiger Eye Matte Jadeite Necklace Silver Clasp

This is a vintage necklace of hand carved melon shaped matte jadeite and tigers eye beads finished with a filigree clasp marked SILVER. In good working order. The stringing appears secure. I do not see or feel any major damage on the beads. But please view all pictures to confirm condition. I have not cleaned this item. The necklace is about 18.5 inches long. I originally thought the clear matte beads were quartz. I was told by a jade collector that they are Jadeite. The sound they make when clinked together is not the sharp sound that glass makes. When I tap those beads and the tigers eye they sound the same or very similar. There also definitely are not any mold lines or remnants of mold lines that would be present for glass. The holes also do not appear molded but do show evidence of being drilled in that the holes are not all the same. There is some variation like occurs with drilled holes. In my warm house (85 degrees) the beads are cool when I hold them to my cheek. When warmed in my hand and then set aside they regain their cool temperature quickly.
