1930’s Chinese Export Silver Butter Dish with Glass Bowl Marked “Silver 90″. The silver is 2.6 inches (6.7 cm) tall by 3.4 inches (8.6 cm) wide measured with handle down. The dish is 0.67 inch (1.7 cm) tall by 5 inches (12.8 cm) wide. The silver’s total weight is 186.18 gram measured without glass. They are tarnished and have surface wears and scratches. ANTIQUE CHINESE EXPORT SILVER COVERED DISH, BOX with DRAGONS

For sale is an. Old Antique CHINESE EXPORT SOLID SILVER COVERED DISH, BOX decorated with DRAGONS. This is a beautiful old piece of Chinese Silver. It is unmarked, but has been tested as Solid Silver (it is not silver-plated). Circa late 19th century – early 20th century or so. The base is hollow. It would have had a Glass or Porcelain Liner, which is now missing. It may be a butter dish or condiment jar, but we aren’t certain. The Dragons have fantastic detail. It measures 2 5/8 inches (6.5 cm) in height (to the top of the finial on the lid). The Dish itself measures just over 3 3/8 inches (8.7 cm) in diameter and 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) in depth. It would hold a liner approximately this size. The hammer marks are visible from the inside. It weighs 111.8 grams (3.60 troy oz). There is some overall fairly minor age-related wear and some minor tarnish (see photos). There are a few surface scratches on the inside of the lid (see last photo). ANTIQUE LARGE CHINESE PAKTONG ENGRAVED FOOD BOX. A rare late 19th-century Chinese antique Paktong food warmer/box. Circular form with a high domed lid. The body decorated with four panels of different animal and nature scenes – a pair of Kylin, two panels with Fenghuang birds (phoenix), and one panel with vases amogst Chinese scrolls and an incense burner. All set against a finely engraved and flat chased matte background. It is free of any personal engravings or monograms. The dark patches on the first three images are reflection and not dents or marks. Good size and quite heavy. A beautiful example of genuine circa 100-120 year old antique Chinese Paktong. Diameter 18.5cm (7 1/4). Height 24cm (9 1/2) approx. CONDITION : Some dents and age related wear. The knop is tilted slightly but there is no movement and it is attached tightly to the lid. CHINESE EXPORT SILVER BUTTER DISH SING FAT c1890. We are pleased to offer this Chinese export silver butter dish. This set was made for the Indian market. In raised circular form, with bamboo rim. Set atop well cast platform feet. Beautifully hand carved royal chrysanthemum sprays to the wide shelf border, leaf and floral to centre. However, here the work engraved into the surface, not repoussed. Atop tray with floral, and itself atop bracket feet. The top hat domed cover topped with oxen finial. Brilliant and chased detail to the animal, with long sweeping horns, curled tail and satin like coat as real. Chinese export silver oxen butter dish 6 1/4 inches and weighs 11 (standard) ounces.
