This is a vintage necklace of hand carved melon shaped matte jadeite and tigers eye beads finished with a filigree clasp marked SILVER. In good working order. The stringing appears secure. I do not see or feel any major damage on the beads. But please view all pictures to confirm condition. I have not cleaned this item. The necklace is about 18.5 inches long. I originally thought the clear matte beads were quartz. I was told by a jade collector that they are Jadeite. The sound they make when clinked together is not the sharp sound that glass makes. When I tap those beads and the tigers eye they sound the same or very similar. There also definitely are not any mold lines or remnants of mold lines that would be present for glass. The holes also do not appear molded but do show evidence of being drilled in that the holes are not all the same. There is some variation like occurs with drilled holes. In my warm house (85 degrees) the beads are cool when I hold them to my cheek. When warmed in my hand and then set aside they regain their cool temperature quickly.
