Presented is an exceptionaly rare Chinese Export solid silver CASKET/BOX made in China c. This wonderful casket has heavily chased, SUNFLOWERS, A BUTTERFLY, BIRDS, BAMBOO, PLUM BLOSSOM and 2 LARGE DRAGONS. The underside has a super rare engraved scene of the FORBIDDEN CITY HUE (9-8-47). This is the year the Vietnamese fought with the French and many buildings were burnt down. The centre has a gold JB monogram. MEASUREMENTS : Well over 6.5 inches (over 17cm) long. 4.5 inches (11.5cm) wide/deep. 3.5 inches (9cm) high. WEIGHT : 551 grams/ 17.7 troy ounces. CONDITION : FINE CRISP CONDITION.
