Slender oval form with hand carved continuous scene of Chinese figures in daily life. Fisherman at water’s edge coached by elder, pilgrims, farmers in various stages. Of work, figure behind desk, elders seated at game table. The cover with oval shield framed by leaf and floral stream. In very fine condition. Rich silver patina, closes firmly shut. The facial detail throughout remains almost completely intact. The Chinese export silver cigar case. Is 4 5/8 inches tall. And weighs 4 standard ounces.
