Chinese Export Silver Chrysanthemum Design Powder Box – Hung Chong c. Marked on bottom with maker’s mark HUNG CHONG of Shanghai and a Chinese character. (as far as I can tell) there is a screenshot of online page I used to Identify the mark. Approximate weight 130 grams not sure how accurate my scales are but will easily be within 10 grams +/. No major dings or dents. Has some scratches on the bottom as well as name scratched into the bottom, as seen in pics (I imagine it could be buffed out). Hammered surface decorated with repoussé flower design. A really beautiful piece. Please check pics carefully as they form an integral part of the description.

This stunning antique box is a rare find for collectors of Asian antiques. The intricate design features a mix of silver and brass, with a beautiful color that catches the eye. The box is believed to have been made in China, but the age is unknown. The box has three pieces and is perfect for collectors of antique boxes or those interested in the opium culture of Asia. The box is not only functional but has an erotic feel to it, making it a unique addition to any collection. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to own this beautiful piece of history. Erotic etched vignettes on each side of inner box and the Buddha head that serves as a catch for the box shows its precision. This item is part of the Marilyn A Fithian collection previously on view at the Erotic Heritage Museum in Las Vegas NV.
