A large Chinese solid silver box with canted corners and ornate repousse work, featuring a temple scene to the lid. The box is unmarked but tests as sterling silver. I have photographed the silver test (please see final photo). The testing solution is applied and only sterling silver will turn it a deep red. I have tested and photographed a piece of English hallmarked silver alongside for comparison purposes. Offered in good condition with no dents or dings, no polish holes or splits and measures 15cms x 12.5cms with a depth of 5cms. Fine quality weighing 386g.
