A large Chinese or South Asian octagonal silver box. Late Qing dynasty, most probably around 1900. Convex lid finely decorated with repousse and engraved wine foliage and grapes. Sides of the cover with geometrical band. Each side of the box decorated with wine foliage and grapes. Dimensions: diameter – 21,3 cm; height – c. Weight: 635 g / 22,4 oz. Conditions report: very good condition, normal signs of the age and use, minor scratches and dents. Properly opening and closing. Traces of glue to the base, coming from soft circles attached there.
