This is a good start for a marvelous, antique Chinese sterling silver filigree box. Needs restoration (or love as found) Elements on lid have been improperly glued in place. It appears the moth, lily repeat is complete, but they need to be put in their proper place. There may be some missing leaves. Currently glued with have no idea what kind of glue. There may be some missing elements on the body medallions. His is an early, exquisitely detailed box with layers of filigree for a fantastic multi dimensional appearance. Enameling creates a jewel like effect. The solid bands were cleaned to show the silver. Wiped the interior, but it needs more cleaning. No marks that I can find, save for the numeric label on the interior. Box measures 2 3/4″ height and 3 5/8″ diameter.
