Hand carved scenes of figures in garden. Elderly traveler with walking stick offers child a gift. Chinese reindeer or moose? Attendant holding large gourd. Mother holds smaller child in arms. Figures smiling and with lively eyes. Chinese characters atop pierced bamboo with satin surface. Opposite side scholar’s tools, urn, incense burner, gourd, and sword? Below stack of boxes. Below dragons in battle amidst rolling clouds. Set atop rich satin like, stippled surface. Interior with original gold wash in near pristine state and original elastic straps. Chinese cigar box in 4 7/8 by 3 inches and weighs 8 standard ounces. Signed to interior “YHULOON” and characters. The figures retain detail including the facial expressions.
