This listing is for a gorgeous Chinese Export silver box marked Sing Fat, c. The box is decorated with embossed plum blossoms and birds on the top, front and back sides on a textured background. Sing Fat worked in Canton and Shanghai between 1870 and 1930. Box has a tight hinge and opens and closes correctly. The box is marked with Chinese hallmarks with unidentified Chinese character mark, maker’s mark for Sing Fat and 90 silver quality/purity mark for 900/1000 silver. Measures 1 3/8″ high, 3 5/8″ long and 1 3/8 wide. This beautiful box is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws although there is some some minor no-harm discoloration on the box’s interior.
