Antique Filigree Silver Tea Caddy. This is a very attractive silver filigree tea caddy. Presumably an Eastern piece, possibly Chinese or Persian. Of hexagonal form with removable lid surmounted by gilt finial. The entire piece with ornate, swirling filigree decoration. With an inset gilt panel to each side of the body. With rope-twist accents to corners of both lid and body. The interior with removable gilt container of hexagonal form. A very attractive and unusual piece. In generally good antique condition with expected wear. Some of the gilt panels are a bit loose.
