The 2004 Panda coin was issued by the People’s Bank of China and minted at the Shanghai Mint. The obverse design features the Temple of Heaven in Beijing with the title of PRC (in Chinese) and the year of issuance. The reverse design features one of the many attractive panda designs and the face value of 10 Yuan. This coin was minted in commemoration of the 2004 Beijing International Stamp and Coin Exposition (noted on the coin in Chinese writing).
