Chinese Gilt Silver & Enamel Figure of Horse as Box late 1930s Chinese gilt silver and painted enamel figurative box with the horse, the box of prolonged rectangular form, painted with blue, turquoise and creamy white enamel colors with Lavender color ground, decorated with geometric motif with sectional silver wire technique. The interior of the box covered with pleasant lavender color enamel. Upon top of the small casket standing the figure of lone horse, glancing at distance. The crafted from silver and painted with enamel warm brown, turquoise and red colors. The horse decorated with the saddle, made of gilt silver and silver wire ornaments. Overall the item is in very good condition, with only very minor enamel loss due to age to tips of the horse’s ears and the tip of the tail (very minor and visible thru the loop), The enamel of the box in very good condition, with no repair or damage.
