C1970s Chinese Export Jeweled Silver Enamel Dragon Box in Brocade Presentation
Offered for your consideration is this fantastic vintage, from 1970s sterling silver box from China. The box is made from silver filigree with a gold wash. There are two fierce dragons circling around the drum shaped box with a purple amethyst pearl on top of the lid. There are also green and orange stones along the lid. Colorful enamel pieces resemble clouds and auspicious. Box is about 4 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches across between the dragon heads. 350.7 grams total. Marked silver on bottom. Overall good condition, I observe no dents or dings on the body, although the rim of the box shows a little wavy when I lift the lid (see picture #8 – should be an easy fix if had to be perfect). There are also some minor enamel loss – like dragon teeth, the flames under the amethyst ball, etc. Really minor, but wanted to mention for accuracy. It comes with the fitted brocade box as shown in pictures. It was brought to the US.
