Beautiful antique Chinese export repousse silver bon-bon or pin dish, with a central plaque of a single chrysanthemum in full bloom and a pierced border of. Chrysanthemum flowers and leaves. Chrysanthemum is one of the “Four Gentlemen” of China, the others being the plum blossom, the orchid and bamboo and is a symbol of both autumn and longevity. The dish is signed on the back with the initials LW for. Luen Wo or Lien Wu and a character mark. Depth 1.5cms approx. This lovely dish exhibits stunning craftsmanship and would grace any collection of export Chinese silver.
