A very rare silver snuff box, in the Western style, by Yatshing, Canton, China c. Yatshing was a very prolific silversmith who made pieces in the Western style for the colonialists as well as in the Chinese style. It is in typical George III form, with an applied cast silver thumb piece and reeded sides. In good antique condition. Marked inside the cover (pictured). The maker’s mark YS, in a square cartouche, is a bit blurred over, but readable. Dimensions: 2.75 x 1.5 x 0.63.
