Vintage Gilt Chinese Silver & Enamel Covered Urn with Turquoise Cabochons
Offered here for your consideration is a fine vintage Chinese box. In gilt silver with extensive enameling. Set with turquoise cabochons throughout to the body, lid, and lid’s finial. The lid and foot both have enameled oceans and many raised blue enamel beads. The box’s itself has 2 cartouches with enamel depictions of goldfish swimming in green water. Simply a striking Chinese Export box! Late 20th or Early 21st Century. It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. There are some cracks in the enamel (particularly in the cartouches with fish), and some tarnish to the gilding. Some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Marked to the base of the box with a stamped’Silver’. Please see our other related items.
