Translucent champleve enamels shimmer on the wings & head. Strung on a knotted necklace with amethyst & possible Chinese turquoise beads. The bail can slide down into the wings to release the body. (I cannot do this now because it is on the necklace – can only do if necklace is cut). Sterling cicada cricket cage measures 2 inches x 1 inch. Weighs 11 grams without the necklace. Necklace measures about 22 inches around with no clasp. There is some enamel loss on the cricket cage. Please view pictures for details & condition. Estate find – unknown exact age and origin.
