I cannot be positive if they were real turquoise or not, but from what I’ve read on others they may. His big mouth opens to hide pills or whatever you want to hide in there. It doesn’t open when you hold him upside down but it isn’t the tightest latch. He has a chain in proportion to his size. You could take him off and use your own, but he does come with the chain. Measure a little over 3 1/2 inches the chain is 24 inches long. Hangs 12 inches down on each side. Good condition, hallmarked inside the mouth Silver China.
