Original Antique Ming Period Blue White Porcelain Shard Sterling Silver Box
All of the Ming Period Shard Sterling Silver pieces in my collection were individually handpicked by my father who was a Malaysian resident and myself from Anna Antiques, a well respected Antique Dealer in Bangkok, Thailand in the early 1970’s. This particularly silver box is made from a repurposed piece of well over three hundred year old Chinese export porcelain that was most likely originally part of a cracked or damaged porcelain plate or bowl. Please review Condition Description. Fine Condition – please note couple of pin hole sized Kiln marks on the shard. There is also a small silver indentation on the left side of the front of the box. Box Dimensions: 1 5/8 of an inch in Height, 2 1/2 inches wide & 2 5/8 of an inch in depth. Box Weight: 3.1 Ounces. Provenance: Collection of Don T.
