Antique Chinese Export Silver Snuff Box Signed MK. Antique Chinese Export Silver Snuff/Pill Box Canton MK Mark. Antique silver snuff box, beautifully articulated. Measures 3/8″high x 1 3/8″wide x 7/8deep, weighs 22 grams. Rectangular box with hinged lid and thumb piece in front. Decorated with chased bamboo and flowers on stippled background, empty cartouche on top intended for owner’s initials, but left blank. The bottom is smooth, inside there is a gilded lining, and is marked with “MK, and a Chinese Mark”. The mark MK was used by a maker in Canton, during the 2nd half of the 19th Century.
