Wing Nam Chinese Export Silver Gilt Lined Dragon Box c. A lovely example of a Chinese trade silver cylindrical form repousse dresser box. Embellished with repousse dragon designs with a singular writhing dragon with flame motif surrounding the base with another dragon on the lid enhancing the design of this stunning ornamental dressing table piece. The gilt lined interior is in excellent condition and the original push fit cover fits snuggly, ensuring a tight seal. While the retail mark WN for the Hong Kong retailer Wing Nam and the unidentified artisan chop have become slightly worn over the years, they are still evident. The base has some scratching commensurate with use and there is a small dent to the lid (as shown) but otherwise the piece presents in very good antique condition.
