This box was probably made to be used as a silverware or jewelry box and has a lid that opens and two drawers that slide out. The box is constructed from a nice rosewood like huanghuali but probably hongmu and decorated with simple brass mounts. Probably early to mid 20th century. Condition: Generally good, Small chip to the foot on the lower right hand corner. Height 8 Inches 20.0 cm. Width 14 3/8 Inches 36.7 cm. Depth 9 Inches 23.0 cm.
