An extremely fine circa 1920s antique, gem-set and enamel Chinese sterling silver box in the form of a bird. Blue enamel interior and gold washed exterior. Bottom portion set with tumbled turquoise. Beautifully enameled in hues of yellow, blue, orange, white and green. Stamped SILVER as was customary for Chinese sterling at this time. Condition: In excellent condition overall. One turquoise stone has been replaced and one wire feather deficient. Please see last two photos for these condition issues. Some of the panels of white enamel have discolored due to age and proximity to silver. Has not been polished. Measurements: 3 5/8 x 2 1/2 x 3 1/4.
