The surface of the body is embellished with a fine and impressive embossed and chased decorated iconic Chinese dragon design depicted in relief, on a matt background. The box is fitted with the original push fit cover ornamented with a further dragon design encircling a central vacant circular cartouche. The upper and lower rims of the cover and body are encircled with a plain and unembellished border. This antique box retains the original gilded interior. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine box include. This antique box is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
