19th century Chinese silver Box. This is a very pretty Chinese silver gilt box with applied, decorative yellow enamel. Wheat ears and turquoise stones, on a basket work back ground. The box is in very good condition, with no damage to the enamel work. There is some slight wear of gilt to the outside of the inner can particularly. At the top, the gilding to the inside of the can is beautifully intact. The box dates from late 19th to early twentieth century and is marked. Silver to the base, also hallmarked to the inner can with English import marks. Gross weight 385 grams. Dimensions: H 12.5 cm x D 8.5 cm.
