These little treasures do not come up for sale very often. The motifs vary, but this one has a dragon on the top and bats on the sides with a honeycomb design in the background. It is signed on the bottom. It dates to the late Qing period. The bottom portion is in very good condition. The lid is good except for a split at the seam on one end. Since it is at the seam, a competent metallurgist can fix it. Measures 2 3/8″ long x 1 1/4″ wide x 7/8 tall. Please see photos for details and condition.
