Here is an Outstanding Chinese Silver Filigree Owl Box with Enamel Cloisonne Tiger Eye. This listing features a fantastic gilt silver and enamel owl with a round cage or box for the body set on a pierced dragon and ho bird base. The fine details include genuine tiger eye cabochons eyes, raised blue enamel dot on crown, twisted gold wire cloisonne & brown marbled enameled side feathers, pierced & blue enameled pedestal base with repousse dragon and phoenix/ ho bird. The fine silver filigree includes four different patterns. Silver, gold vermeil, enamel, cloisonne, genuine tiger eye stones. 7 12 high x 3 3/4 wide x 1 3/4 deep. Slight indent on back body. ANTIQUE 20thC CHINESE EXPORT SOLID SILVER LARGE DRAGON BOX c. Antique 20th Century Chinese Export solid silver box, of rectangular form, the hinged cover decorated in repousse’ relief with dragons chasing the flaming pearl of wisdom on a matted ground, the centre applied with Chinese characters. Each side panel is decorated with different scenes depicting butterflies and chrysanthemums, butterflies and orchids, forest and deers, bamboo with birds and animals. The box is very rare, large and very well crafted, some of the details are parcel gilt to add importance. The box is unmarked, but has been acid tested and shows 900 grade silver, made in the early 1900’s. In Great Condition – No damage, just general wear. Height: 9cm Width: 17 x 11cm. Chinese make marked Y H on the base. No other marks discernible. Tested with a Thermo scientific Niton XL2 precious metals analyser. Showing reading of over 90% for 925 sterling silver.
