A Greenish-White Jade Plaque inset in a Zitan Silver-wired box of oval shape. The plaque is finely carved in relief with two Melons issuing from a leavy branch. (symbol for unity of the family, growth and good health) The stone is of a pale celadon tone. The plaque is inset into the cover of a wood box and was carved during the Qianlong reign, the box is possibly from a more recent date. Long, wood box is 6.8 cm x 5.9 cm and stands 4.2 cm tall on 4 raised feet. The oval-shaped box and cover is inlaid with very slim silver-wire depicting flowering prunus blossoms all around. Condition:The plaque is in a good condition, restoration and small chips to the rim of the box. This listing is without a reserve price.
