CHINESE EXPORT SILVER BOX CHRYSANTHEMUM ON 1000 BUTTERFLY SIGNED. This is a museum worthy Chinese export silver scholars box. Signed for rare maker WF. This export silver box in rectangular form. Center oval shield, never monogrammed. Beautifully raised royal chrysanthemum. Flowers carved in exceptional relief. Set against unique 1000 butterfly wing surface. This surface found on Meiji Satsuma wares, almost never on Chinese silver. Chinese export silver floral box just under 6 inches and 12 1/2 standard ounces. Lustreous silver patina throughout. Beautiful floral decoration retains its original crisp, hand chased detail. Original gold wash interior. Mild surface wear to interior base. We have over 8800 feed backs. Of rectangular form, antique Chinese Silver plated & Enamel painted match box with hand carved Coral plaque depicting the portrait of a young lady set with-in a house background interior. Excellent Carving quality, clear and of high details carving, young lady has a butterfly on her hair and rose on her right side. The match box painted with blue, lavender, yellow and green colors. The box supported by four blue painted stepped feet. The top panel with coral carving applied on top of the box. Overall very good condition, some minor enamel loss to blue enamel. Some metal tarnishing, some scratches. Coral in excellent condition. Unusual & Rare Custom Made Object of Chinese Art. Length 2 1/3 in. Width 1.6 in. Height 1 ½ in. With coral plaque top.
