Southeast Asian Indo-Chinese 900 Silver Cricket/Potpourri Box 20th Century. Of round form square base, Southeast Asia 900 silver cricket or a potpourri pierced lidded box, the exterior decorated with hand chased woven basket design, scroll-work continues rim ornament, the box accompanied with reticulated lid ornament with matching raised foliage sprays. Clean interior, the item tested for 900 silver. Overall very good condition, minor pin-point marks, minimal scratches, lid’s one of the sides slightly elevated-uneven, item unmarked. Height 4 1/2 in. Antique Chinese Sterling Silver Pierced/Reticulated Cricket/Potpourri Box Circa 1920s of rectangular form with concave sides, of highly attractive design Chinese sterling silver reticulated hinged box, the open work cover decorated with naturalistic & life-like cranes, willow trees & large lotus flowers sprays with-in raised beaded frame surrounded by a pierced leaf motif border. Each side decorated different reticulated designs of floral, tree-leaf & birds motifs. Overall very good condition, box closes properly, with hinge intact, cover slightly tilted to the right (not noticeable when displayed, only under close inspection), silver tarnishing & discoloring due to oxidation, item not polished. Fantastic Cricket or Potpourri Condiment Box Marked: a bat or butterfly, Chinese characters Length under 6 in. Height 4.1 in. Width 3 1/4 in.
